Hi, how to burn in pen drive?

    thx.

  6. Elman says:

Thanks for Google Drive option!! Downloading for test…

  7. Laur Florin says:

Thanks Gandalf, you’re the real MVP !!

  8. DavidinCT says:

I see your comment, not to burn to DVD… You can if your doing mostly file management or basic tasks. This is godsend for a dead machine, OS wont boot and you need to recover files off the drive. Exactly what I needed today. Booted with the DVD(burned to DVD), connected a large USB drive, moved profiles/files off the drive…

    Easy ! Thanks again !

  9. DavidinCT says:

FYI. Downloaded this today, saw that you released it today (3/13). Malwarebytes is out of date. I downloaded the defs for it but, it wants to install a newer version of the software.

    Just a FYI

  10. Pofy says:

Hi, the shutdown/restart not in the start menu as the pictures show

  11. Dave46 says:

Thanks for a great WINPE !

If you type ” Shutdown” in the search box it will show up in the start menu.

Haven’t tried to type “Reboot” yet.

    Nice having Malwarebytes included !!

Gandalf, Thank you for this new 1709 x64 WinPE

    Few questions/problems

    1. What is the purpose of the Administrator/System Session desktop shortcuts?
Running shortcuts results in Error codes 5023 and 7045

    2. DISM GUI (mount image) not working.

    3. How can I add custom folders and shortcuts to the Start10 menu in 1709.16299 ?
Editing the Default User’s Start Menu (which I practiced in 1607.14393) seems not to work anymore for your 1709

    4. Could you please add .Net FrameWork to x64 1607.14393
My attempts to add packages with dism failed with ”Error 87 Add-Package option is unknown”.

    Thank you

Hi Gandalf, any chance of integrating DaRT in these builds? It’s basically what’s missing to make them a complete swiss army knife for troubleshooting. Thanks!

  14. Adam says:

Hi Gandalf! Firstly – thanks a ton for your software. It helps a lot. What I love in this is mainly current version of HDClone (v6).

In your newest x64 release there’s HDClone in version 7. It asks for activation – tried several times, several machines. Can you help with this?

  15. Justin says:

Is there a program in your current builds similar to Duplicate File Detective? I don’t see that program anymore in the Program folder.

  16. Justin says:

    Got it. Thanks!

  17. Bob says:

Treesize is good but WizTree is better and 100x faster (uses ntfs mft file)

  18. Qual says:

    found issues:

    5. AIDA64 Summary crashes with “Application Error” popup-window.
    6. AttributeChanger_x64 not working.
    7. Start10Menu Shutdown/Restart command is suspended by disabled 72 hours limit.
fix: comment out the “72 hour limit disable” autorun command

    Can you add crystaldiskinfo?

    Thanks

  21. Jose says:

    I´m getting a status 0xc0000017 error
Info: There isn’t enough memory available to crate a ramdisk device.

I have 4GB DDR3 memory installed. Not sure what is wrong.

    Regards.

    • Jose says:

I respond to myself, I changed the TOLUD parameter from 3GB to 2GB and error is gone. OS boots properly. Thanks.

    • gandalf50 says:

Give it a try on another computer. Or you may want to try this.
      https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager-software/how-to-fix-windows-10-upgrade-error-0xc0000017.html
      1. Boot your computer into Windows.
      2. Right-click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin).
      3. Type bcdedit /enum all and press Enter.
      4. You’ll see a list of all the memory locations that have been deemed ‘bad’, this list can be cleared.
      5. Type bcdedit /deletevalue {badmemory} badmemorylist and press Enter (type this verbatim, {badmemory} is not a placeholder for anything).
      6. Close the Command Prompt window and restart your computer.

      • Jose says:

        Hi gandalf50

I loaded Windows10pe-x64-redstone-3-build and executed the advised bcdedit command.

        I got following error:
‘The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The Volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid’

Any clue to work this arround and get the {badmemory} deleted?

        Thanks for your great support.

    Good work

  24. Diskmaster says:

Is there any possible way to include Paragon.HFS+ for Windows.v11.1.75 in your build as no other AIO Boot disc includes such program for reading and writing to any Apple Mac OSX Journaled extended disk

  25. hug says:

Please how can I change the keyboard to AZERTY ?

    • gandalf50 says:

In the root of the iso is a file called pecmdExt.ini witha program like ultraiso
un remark the line with the french language so it looks like below
      // French
      EXEC !%WinDir%\System32\Wpeutil.exe SetKeyboardLayout 040c:0000040c
Save the changed file back to the iso and save the iso
You should now be able to Ctrl-Tab between English and French keyboard languages

    Thank you for sharing

  27. hug says:

I wanted to make a multiboot with 2 of your Windows 10PE;I tried Yumi,WinToFlash….no success;do you have some suggestion ?

  28. alternety says:

I seem to have been attacked by one of those bombs that encrypt my drives.

Is there anything in your 64 bit build that can try to remove the Bitlocker?

  29. Gene says:

Much to admire in the ongoing development of this project. It offers some real advantages not to be found elsewhere. However and curiously, with the recent builds I have not been finding any EXIT that works, other than the Reset button or shutting the power. Also kind of miss having the disc option. I understand why, but there are others that still manage to work from a live DVD (or even DL DVD, given the possible size issue). Can’t what some apps may need to write be directed to Ramdisk space ?

  30. Matthew says:

Gandalf50 you mad genius! Thanks for your work on this. This tool is such a life saver for me the self employed techie. I have made a modest donation to you. Please enjoy a nice cold beer (or beverage of your choice) on me!

  31. Andy says:

    Hi Gandalf,

Very pleased to hear that you’ll be updating this project frequently.

    Two quetions.

    1) You provide MD5 digests for the downloads. Is it possible to get a better (stronger) algorithm? At least SHA1. I know it takes a long time for such large files. Depends on the machine doing it. If it’s too resource intensive for you, well then, I’m still grateful for your immense effort into this project.

    2) A while back, I asked here about the ability to add a batch file that’ll be executed at boot-up. You then advised that I open Y:\sources\boot.wim with 7zip, and place the batch file into \Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup, within the boot.wim file. That worked great. Worked on later builds too. But now, with this biuld, as well as with the latest x86 build, that’s not possible anymore. Now, when dragging the file into boot.wim in 7zip, I get an error “Not implemented”. Tried running 7zip as Admin, same. Tried opening the boot.wim file on a Linux machine, but the Archive Manager couldn’t open it at all.

    Ideas?

Thanks again for this wonderful work!

  32. RJL says:

    Hi,
The list of Programs included mentions AOMEI Backupper.
But I can’t seem to find it listed anywhere in the programs list when booted.
Can you tell me where to find it please?

  33. Fred says:

Same as Andy above, I cannot put my shorcuts on the desktop, when I use 7Zip on the boot.wim file I get an error message “Not Implemented”.

Also Session System and Session Administrator are not working with this build.

    • Dennis says:

let’s try this again… last post did not go through…

      Use DISM.EXE to edit Win10pe.cfg file…
      1. Copy the boot.wim file from the \sources folder
      2. mount it to a folder: dism /mount-image /imagefile:{path-to-wim} /index:1 /mountdir:{path-to-tempdir}
      3. edit the Win10pe.cfg file in {path-to-tempdir}\Windows\System32
3a. section [shortcut] add new line like: Desktop|Name For Icon|Path\To\Shortcut|Path\to\iconfile.ico|/options
      4. commit changes to the wim file: dism /commit-image /mountdir:{path-to-tempdir}
      5. dismount the {path-to-tempdir}: dism /unmount-image /mountdir:{path-to-tempdir} /discard
5a. (remove the {path-to-tempdir}, if it doesn’t do it for you – rd /s/q {path-to-tempdir})
      6. copy updated boot.wim file back to \sources folder.

      VOILA.

Worked like a charm for mine.

  34. Fred says:

Gandalf, can you confirm that session system and session administrator are not working ?, they are not doing anything for me.

  35. Fred says:

I have not seen Gandalf respond since 07/05/2018.

  36. Fred says:

So, do you have a solution to session admin and session system not working in this build ?
