Build Notes

  • Microsoft .Net 3 & 4 issues not being detected should now be working on apps requiring them (this fix added over 1gb to the iso size)
  • Use Terminals RDP for rdp connections
  • Did not update Chrome and Opera as most recent versions not working in the PE
  • Boot selection to choice of admin or  system accounts defaults to system after 3 seconds. If you wish to logon as admin after you have logged in as system. Use the shortcut in the all programs on the programs menu.

  • Macrium Reflect will remove the Y drive and set it as next logical drive. Just use Remount CDdrive Y found in Windows Systems folder.

It’s a very large download almost 4gb so be patient it can take 30-60 minutes (depending on your internet speed) to download.  After downloading, burn the bootable ISO file to  a USBe of 8gb or larger, using rufus or a similar program to create your bootable USB.  Do not burn to DVD, since many apps need to write data to the application folder.

For some reason this x86 build is not able to start the ethernet network device built into my motherboard even though it loads the driver just fine. However, the built-in wireless network device starts starts with no problem after I manually load the driver. After rebooting into my native Windows 10 OS, my ethernet network device remains missing (not simply disabled) from the Network Adapters device list until I perform a complete shut-down of the computer. The previous x86 build did the same thing, though the 14393 x86 build from 11/7/16 did not give me this issue.

None of the x64 builds cause any problems.

A minor issue I thought you may want to be aware of.

    Hullo Gandalf

    Thanks for making these ISOs.

I’m trying to download the 10 PE x86 R3. Twice it has shown 3.9Gb downloaded but then changes to Fail. I’m using Edge in a Lenovo Ideapad 100s running up to date W10. Internet via WiFi. Can you suggest anything to make this work correctly?

    Cheers

Since its on google drive try downloading with google chrome. It’s always a good idea to have another browser installed when you run into strange issues like this. Probably has something to do with google hating edge and or MS hating Google.

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded successfully using IE11 on my W7 laptop. I’ve made a USB stick and tried it on the netbook and it looks really good. Thank you for making the image and having it available.

        Cheers
        Graham
